ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE

Our Environment Committee exists to ensure that our member companies are aware of environmental issues, many of them mandatory, which affect them. A range of Information Bulletins have been produced for the benefit of members and new bulletins will be produced as further topics are identified.

We work closely with our colleagues in ABHI on environmental issues, taking part in and supporting many of the activities organized by their Environment Committee.

Like other medical device manufacturers, we strongly hold the view that sterilization barrier materials are not packaging. Without these vital components it would be impossible to supply sterile products. They must therefore be an integral part of the device itself and should be excluded from the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations.
